Welcome to Not Me Writing, a website made by me, Norma Rrae, a Northern living author.

As a child, I wanted to be a waitress or a writer. Am I ever glad I pursued the later. Writing short stories to read my family at Sunday dinners, writing poetry to read to school mates for Remembrance Day, Valentines Day, etc shaped my childhood. Creative writing classes after school and parent/teacher interviews during school to discuss the content of my dark writing.

Maybe that was the beginning of my young adulthood unfurling, but I survived some hard years and they’ve made me who I am today with more life experience than some could even fathom. I’ll take another 24.

Now, I sit in front of my wood burning stove with minus 40 weather blaring outside and my Bernese Mountain Dog inside at my feet and a crisp new notebook in my hand and a wild imagination in my head spinning with poems, short stories and novels.

I have four children, one grandchild, three dogs, a hedgehog and a bearded dragon and I am actively seeking representation. So if you’re an agent that has stumbled upon my website, come, let’s be friends and sell books!
