I found a new hobby, because obviously I don’t have enough things I have to do (typed in the most sarcastic way possible.)

This past year has taught me a lot about myself during this writer journey, and other unnamed life situations., but basically what I learnt is I that should have done some self healing long ago, especially before exposing myself to the world. And all work no play is not good for the soul! Writing takes a lot of work, its fun and its my hobby yes but it is still work and thinking, researching, editing and plotting. It’s very much more work than play, that’s for sure. 

So here I am back pedaling a bit to get on track with my self love. Which is okay. Because whenever the self healing journey begins, its a good thing. Whether your twenty, or in my case, just about to breath on your fortieth birthday candle, learning your self is one of the only things you absolutely need to accomplish in your life.

And during my journey to learn to heal and love myself, I found a new hobby. I suppose some people might not think of this as a hobby, but hear me out. 

Crystals. 

Made of earth and solar system, dust and pretty sparkly magical stuff and things, they are polished into jewelry or sold rough cut for anxious/fidgeting hands to hold.

 I can spend time examining them, placing them in or around things, researching about them, shopping for them and even building them as I have recently learnt how to crystallize things with Borax (see book.)

So all in all, I think crystals can easily be labelled as a legitimate hobby.

And in the meantime, I need to put the pretty shiny thing down and get back to my writings.
